1876 "Shari" Corset

This corset is made after a pattern of 1876 from la mode Illustree. This is the period of the natural form gowns. These gowns were usualy quite slimm fitting, and therefore people wore very long corsets under their dresses.

This corset has got a spoonbusk for extra tummy controll. It has got bust and hup gussets and can be flossed or trimmed with lovely lace.

Historical gusseted corset) are more complex to make, due to the larger number of pannels and the cut.

Historical corsets always come with a mock-up service.

At the moment I am working on the actual corset, we are at the mock-up stage. I will post pictures of the corset when I am done! Keep an eye on my livejournal to be the first to see!
